Butterfly hatching, right in front of our eyes!

Gemma brought in a chrysalis to show us. We could see the dark black wing coming out.
It stayed a long time sitting on a classroom plant.
Can you see the patterns on its wings?
We put it outside the classroom door in the garden.
It rested for a long time, then at the end of the day it was     gone. We hope it has a good life.

Term 4 Can you guess what we are learning about?

Six stations with six activities, all linked some how.
Can you guess what the connections are?
Look at the photographs carefully.

Ask a Learner in Room 5, they will tell you what our focus is this term. Come join us.

Term 3 The World has Come to Our Place.

Visual Art in Term three included finding out about a famous artist called Pablo Picasso. We used his idea of drawing sideward faces with over large features in our wax crayon drawings of Rugby World Cup Fans. These drawings became our Calendar Art to raise money for our school.

Term 2 Rhythmic Gymnastics

What do ribbons, batons, hoops and ropes have in common?

They can all be moved by children in various ways!

The Moving Circus came to UHPS

What fun we had trying to balance a moving plate on a stick, to roll sticks along our arms and swing snake tails through the air. The Movement Circus came to U.H.P.S.

Eliot was our balancing expert.                                         He's the STAR, complete with chef's hat.
